maybe in one minute maybe in 10 thousand years we don’t know

Even He said only the Father knows. So we have to live as though it could be any moment. The idea is still scary though - even though it’s amazing

He can return at any time - like a thief in the night, when we least expect it. I pray every night for Christ to come quickly. As much as I long to be with Him, there are probably others who still have to come into the fold. I don’t see it as scary at all - it will be beautiful!

If it’s next week, I’d at least hope after the next episode of Better Call Saul…

I know that only the heavenly father knows the time.
But I can’t wait for it to happen! Cant wait to live a life where there’s no sin no suffering no death .Am I the only one thinking like this?!?
Well .I just wish it would happen soon but on the same hand I do feel that it’s going to take a LOT of time ! (Sad)
Whats your view on this ?
I don’t believe you are the only one thinking like this. We would all like to be without suffering.

Also, I think it shows great love for Jesus, wanting to be with Him for eternity. I admire that.

As others have said, no one knows the day or the hour. We can watch the signs of the times but no one knows how long each sign of the time will last.

If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic teaching of the end times, the link below is a good start. Be careful to be sure and learn the Catholic teaching of the end times, there are a lot of deceptive stories floating around out there in the world.

I can’t wait for it to happen
“Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day–and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

A great promise for you then, from 2 Timothy 4:8
🙂

Felt good knowing that :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Well can’t wait for that day!!

He is here in the Eucharist, but when He comes in His full glory, there will be no mistaking it.

Remember that Jesus is God, and His second coming marks God’s arrival on earth. He said this about that event:

" that day will be sprung on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come down on every living man on the face of the earth." Luke 21:34-35

My opinion is that this “trap” is the sudden advent of a global nuclear war. Most people don’t like this idea, and I cannot say that I blame them. But it is supported by the predictions of the prophets of the Old Testament.

So, tell me. On the off-chance the Son of Man is here already having completed the prophecies in a non-literal way, what would expect him to be like? Would he be Catholic? How old would he be? What nationality do you think he would be? What would be his first language? Would he be single? Would he look like the man in the paintings? Would he be called Jesus? Would he have a day job?
What is the point of you being here when all you do in this and other threads is try to make a mockery of our faith.

Well, that is the literal interpretation. Is that the official Catholic interpretation?
Here you are. The Catechism of the Catholic Church which contains a summary of all Church teachings, both infallible and non-infallible.
You will find answers in the CCC. This one also has an index to make it easier for you to search.

Not in our lifetime imo.

We should focus on our particular judgment which happens when we die.

I’m late to the conversation, and I haven’t read all the responses, but my take is that Jesus’ return will be when He’s got something worth coming back for. In other words, probably not any time soon. I could be wrong. I’ve been wrong before. But that’s what I believe.
