So i read a new advent article on gossiping and it said that public men can and should be openly exposed so that they should be shown worthy or unworthy of their office (paraphrased but here’s a link just in case i misquoted-http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04757a.htm ). I wasn’t wondering what y’all thought (all authoritative sources welcome). When is a person public enough to be discussed openly? Like a pop star dating gossip is obviously fruitless though discussing candidate A’s affair with Mrs. B would show him unworthy. Just wondering where the lines are. Thanks!
