Satan was cast out of Heaven at the very beginning of Creation.I have a question that is a timeline of the bible. In job satan has access to god and acts as an accuser. Satan is present in the Garden of eden. Jesus is tempted by satan in the desert. Jesus says the ruler of this world is coming. When was satan cast out of heaven with 1/3 of the angels? In genesis, before the crucifixion, after the resurrection or sometime before the second coming (parousia) I have trouble with this. Thanks
I believe no one can very accurately say when satan was cast out of heaven. Remember in God’s presence there is no dimension of time, just as what we have here on earth. I know it would be quite hard to comprehend this but I guess that is part of the Divine mystery. Now the book of Job has very good moral lessons and is one of the great biblical stories ever written but whether there truly was a historical Job could be a subject of debate. I think many scholars say that the book of Job is pure fiction and so the depiction there of satan having access to God is only metaphorical.Does everyone agree with this view? He appears to have access to God in the book of Job. Book of enoch says Azazel and angels were on earth acting as Watchers of mankind but was tempted by the beauty of our women and this begot the Nephillim.

I was just correcting a factual error. As far as I know, neither Plato nor Socrates are quoted by Paul. He does quote several times from two different Greek poets.… which is still irrelevant. Isn’t Plato quoted in some of Paul’s Epistles? Or is it Socrates?

I think we agree that he has been cast out. I think it came at the moment of his rebellion. But the latest I could see it happening is during the time of Jesus. What did Jesus say when he sent the Twelve (or was it 72?) out in pairs? “I see Satan falling like lightning from the sky” (paraphrasing).Do we agree that he is cast out right now or does he still have access to god and the casting down is yet to come (future event)?
We agree that he is cast out right now. Once Jesus defeated him at the cross, he had nothing to accuse us of because we are not under law but grace. The angelic battle in heaven happened in eternity. The power that overcomes Satan in heaven (eternity) is the same power that overcomes him on earth (time) as the next lines in the passage indicate.REV-12
