This is frightening. The diocese of Detroit in 2006 had 303 parishes and 694 priests. Less than 1.5 priest yearly mean that 40 years from now there will be only 60 priests.That will make 11 men from our parish ordained within the last 8 years![]()

Something has to be done. Prayer, and encourage our sons and grandsons toward the priesthood. May be remove the celibate as requirement.
When Garrigou-Lagrange wrote that 90% of the Catholics end up in heaven, 90% of the Catholics received viaticum. Who will give viaticum 50 years from now?
