Another mystery is, as Jesus is Lord, when He was on earth, was he also in heaven? This is a mystery that I am sure greater

I understand from my Catholic friends here that their faith is made from mysteries.
I request my Catholic friends to list all mysteries of their faith with references from NTBible with reasons. Maybe the non-catholics in the forum could solve these for them as friendly gesture.

As for me giving a thought that Catholics might be right; it is one of the reasons that I am posting in a Catholic Discussion Forum. At least Catholics are free to convert me to Catholicism if they are right. They stand a good chance.

You are certainly welcome to your opinion, however, I would be more inclined to trust a source that witnessed the crucifixion, John, who wrote the Gospel of John rather than somebody who came along 18 centuries later! (There is some debate that the Apostle John did not write the Gospel, but rather a disciple of his. I remain unconvinced that he did not write it).

St. John was there, and his witness is true John 19.35.

The Jews and Hebrews were there, the Talmud and Hebrew writings write of the Cruxifiction.

The Romans were there, they write of the Crucifixtion (for example Pliny’s letter to Trajan.

THAT’s history.

That’s what I mean, God was not gone from heaven as the Father is always there.

Unless you believe in a finite god, this is just silly. Dimension is a function of creation, not the Creator.

While dying on the cross, I think, for that very brief moment when He cried out: "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” He felt the perception of abandonment we sometimes feel. He was quoting Scripture. Look at how that Psalm ends…

A hymn for Pascha refers to the darkness, earthquake, etc. as “creation suffering with its Creator.”

This word on the Life-Giving Cross was the Creator crying out with His creation.

For those who prefer witnessing of the Apostels of the event of Crucifixion, while there were no apostels, in my opinion, present on the scene of the Crucifixion, but some say that John was there. For Gospel of John and its historical value , please access the note :

Since the “higher criticism” of the 19th century, historians have largely rejected the gospel of John as a reliable source of information about the historical Jesus[3][4]. “[M]ost commentators regard the work as anonymous.”[5]

So, there was none among the Jesus’ twelve apostles present on the scene of Crucifixion, to qualify as an eye witness later. I think the matter is clear now.

1. Except for links, don’t quote wikipedia as a source. Anyone can write anything.
2. The “higher criticism” of the 19th century has had to revise its opinions in light of the discoveries of the 20th.
3. If you like the higher critics, look what they do to the Quran and Hadith.

As Orthodox, I don’t belong to the Latin church, but I know a thing or two on Islam.

ALL mysteries? Perhaps it would profit more that you read their catechism (which has lots of footnotes), and ask for guidance here. vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM
