When Jesus said "I thirst" While on the Cross

The result being that the ‘rivers of life giving water’ that flowed within Jesus was no longer there. He thirsted for God and the Holy spirit. ?

I know Jesus and God are one like wet and water, you can’t get in water without getting wet.

The founder of the Focolare movement Chiara Lubich(my avatar picture) wrote a book entitled: “The cry of Jesus crucified and forsaken”(i hope i got the title right.lol) which talks about the spirituality of Jesus Forsaken on the cross by the Father and its implications.
And yes…in her book she confirms what you think about God the Father turning away from Jesus on the cross because He was carrying on Him all of the sins of the world and since God is Holy He could not stand the sight of sin.However…she also says God the Father did forsake Jesus out of Love too.Its a deep spiritually and i’ll advice you to read the book or google the Focolare Movement(founded by Chiara Lubich) inorder to get more info.(sorry i cant give you links)
 
Dr. Scott Hahn gives a GREAT talk on this in a CD called, “The 7 Last Sayings of Christ.” It might be on YouTube. I got the Lighthouse CD at my Parish.
