Hi
I have also thought on this issue, and I think when Jesus was on the Cross and in great distress, he saw his mother Mary. He was loving and caring for his mother, so to comfort her he just said these words.
Otherwise, we don’t find any mention of Mary in any of the gospels as to what happened to Mary when Jesus last met in Galilee after the incidence of Crucifixion.
I believe, as I have expressed on other threads that ****Jesus did not got killed on Cross ****and his life was saved. From Galilee he alongwith his mother Mary he set off to far off lands in search of the lost tribes of Israel and
he died in Kashmir, in India.
Well I saw the thread you talk about, but you know what I never bothered to read even one post on it, because the title said it all.
I can tell you I’ve read some nonsense in my 48 years on the planet, and this is in with that group, what utter rubbish.
Jesus died on the cross, His Mother was there, along with John and a few others.
Oh and Jesus being nice to His mother just before He died just decided to tell John here’s your mother ???
You forgot the bit where He reminded Mary that John was Her son, why would He tell Mary that John was her son ?
Oh sorry, I get it now, Jesus was being nice to John… :doh2:
What your preaching is heresy !!! and mocking our Good Lord in the great Sacrifice He underwent for to open up the Gates of Heaven.
Off-course Mary and others did see Jesus after He arose from the dead.
**Kashmir India **…LOL

I just went to CARM to sign up, but it looks like I’m required to give a donation to join. Is that correct, or is there a free membership? I don’t understand why they don’t allow anonymous access to their forums for guests to browse and decide if it’s worth it to join. I’m proud of Catholic Answers for making this site available to everyone. Catholics have nothing to hide.
No off topic here sorry, but no I didn’t pay to sign up, I knew I was in the hornets nest when I went in there, but I always pray to the Holy Spirit before I go on forums.
Aren’t we told not to worry about what we have to say because the Holy Spirit will speak for us ?
Anyway I wish I hadn’t mentioned CARM,

suffice to say I have a bog standard Irish education and am amongst religious scholars, which goes to prove that the Holy Spirit can work wonders, if we ask Him.
