Will Christians be able to know who the antichrist is when he shows up? I’m not saying he will anytime soon, but it is spoken in revelations, and I was wondering if Christians will be able to know who the antichrist is when he comes to power.

Or do you think we will all be blind of it? I know that he will be very charismatic and convince many, but shouldn’t Christians filled the Holy Spirit be able to recognize him when he shows up? Personally, for me, I feel that I would know who he is based on what the bible speaks of the things he’ll do. So, I would be able to recognize him, but will all other Christians have this ability?

Say for example he did come to power in your lifetime, how would you feel? I’d be frightened.

PS- I know the bible says there will be many antichrists, but I’m talking about the ''beast out of the earth & sea" found in revelations who will take over the world and make us take his mark.

Revelations 13: 1-18

I recommend to focus on the Church. Jesus said His Church (Catholic Church) will prevail. Keep yourself close to the Church. Amen 👍

If the antichrist comes some will not believe it’s him because so many have played “pin-the-tail-on-the-antichrist” a few to many times.

Revelations in its proper context is speaking more of the Catholic Liturgical Mass than it is about the end of the world as we know it. I’d give Dr. Scott Hahn’s “The Lamb’s Supper” a go. It’ll enrich your understanding of revelations and give you a new appreciation for the Catholic Church.

Just because I’m close to God doesn’t mean I cant wonder about things.

This does not answer my question.

Indeed. An example would be going to those anti-Catholic sites where they do that to a lot of Catholics.

Or the ones saying that Ronald Wilson Reagon was the antichrist becausre had six letters in each of his three names.

I know people who think Obama is the antichrist. I however do not. I think that’s as ridiculous as people who claim the Pope is.

Hello, my name is Robert Noble. My mother was a Portuguese Roman Catholic and my father was Dutch and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I have been a member of the Bahá’í Faith, for about two years, but have been going to Seventh Day Adventist services because of doubts I have been feeling about the Bahá’í Faith. In respect to both of my parents, I have also studied both of my parent’s faiths. From what I gather, Roman Catholics, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists and Bahá’ís all have very different views concerning the identity of Antichrist. Jehovah’s Witnesses and Bahá’ís both seem to agree that those who reject their faiths are Antichrist, but there is no Antichrist epitome. People who reject Jehovah God or those who depart from the faith are seen by Jehovah’s Witnesses as being antichrists. People who reject Christ, especially upon his return in the person of Bahá’u’lláh, may be seen by some Bahá’ís also as being antichrists. There also is no Antichrist epitome in the Bahá’í Faith. Seventh Day Adventists it seems, refer the Papacy as being antichrists as well as the Great Whore of Babylon, but with the Pope as its epitome. I have even heard that a final Pope will arise after the death of current Pope Benedict XVI, who would embrace the Bahá’í Faith, which would then eclipse Roman Catholicism, as 1,000,000,000+ Catholic and even Protestants follow him into the new faith. I’ve heard that he will move his throne to Jerusalem as a second “Guardian” of the Bahá’í Faith. It has even been mentioned that this new “Guardian” Pope along with the nine members of the Universal House of Justice of the Bahá’í Faith will cause the Papacy to become desolate. This would of course mean that Bahá’u’lláh, rather than being the return of Christ, would be none other than Antichrist himself. I don’t know if all this could be true or not, but this is one thing that has captured my thoughts.
Anyways,
God Bless you,
Robert Noble

It is a mistake to interpret allegorical Scripture literally. That is why there are thousands of Christian sects…
