If, hypothetically, Martin V was an anti-pope, then wouldn’t any appointments he made to the college of cardinals be invalid?
Gregory was deposed by the Council of Constance, and Martin was appointed, but (for some reason) it took a long time for him to get to Rome. There was a two year interregnum, during which Gregory died. So Gregory was already dead when Martin was formally installed (though, technically, a person becomes Pope simply by accepting the appointment, provided he is already a Bishop).
