Since Rome has already spoken --that people can kneel or sit --the people who kneel or sit are already doing what they should. This Can be the whole congregation.
Given my personal witness, and taking into account that “Rome has already spoken,” the people I am referring to are at the very least making an uninformed decision. While they SHOULD/COULD either stand, kneel or sit they are not being made aware of their option to stand.

That is as CLEAR as I can possibly make it for you … so I will not entertain further dialogue on the subject.

Well now—the congregations who kneel or sit or ignorant.

I hope you follow thru–and not entertain further dialogue on the subject.

As for me personally, I kneel until Father has returned to his seat and before the final blessing when we all stand. Father is Chirsts represenative and I believe he deserves this simple form of respect. But dont ask about music during communion, that is a “pet peeve” of mine reserved for another thread.

The “General Instruction on the Roman Missal,” which provides the official authoritative directives for the celebration of the mass, explains that the faithful “may sit or kneel while the period of sacred silence after communion is observed.” Those interested can look at this explanation by typing the word GIRM into google.com, and going to chaper II, section II, #43. Frankly sometimes I go to a church in another diocese where the people have been told to stand after communion, and I just kneel without worrying about it, and in fact a few other people kneel then too.
