When to talk to a priest?

Hi everyone!! So I have a problem and a lot of people on here are telling me to go talk to a priest about it and get his take on it and see what he says, but since I am not able to go to confession yet (I am not baptized), when can I do this? I am fairly new to the Catholic faith btw so i am unsure about somethings lol. Thank you!!

I talked to priests before I was Catholic - even before I was seriously considering the faith. They are incredibly well-educated, often very well-spoken, and usually very kind and willing to talk and answer questions. I’m not sure what your problem is, but if it’s been recommended that a priest might be a valuable resource, I’d encourage you to check it out (especially if you are considering joining the faith).

You do not have to be Catholic to speak to a priest. Make an appointment and let him know that you are not Catholic and then bring up your issues, questions or concerns.

You can ask a priest your question outside of Confession. In fact, if your question is complicated & requires a lot of help or if you have a lot of questions, these should be addressed in an appointment with the priest instead of scheduled Confession times. As others have said, just call the parish and ask for an appointment to speak with him.
