When to wear another scapular

Hello. I was thinking of when to change the scapular one is wearing. For example, when you are invested, there is a scapular which is blessed and used in the investiture. Do you need to wear that particular scapular until its “end of life” or you could change scapular even if the one you used in investing is still intact?What I think is that since scapular is like a clothing, it does not matter whether you change to different scapular (but same type, brown scapular in particular)you’re wearing as long as it is reminding you of your devotion to Mother Mary. Am I correct? thanks in advance.

Yes, you can wear a different scapular of the same type. You don’t have to wait till it falls apart before you can wear another.

You can get a replacement any time you need one. Its nice if you can have it Blessed but not necessary. The Investiture is all that’s really necessary. I have worn the Brown Scapular for many years.

I don’t think you should wait until it falls apart. I have changed scapulars for a variety of reasons. The main one being that I was given or purchased a special scapular.
