When was the first time?

When saying the Nicene Creed, part of it states,

“…on the third day He rose again, in fulfillment…” This begs the question, When was the first time He rose?
 
Hi,

This is merely an idiom. We use it when we say: “He fell down and then got up again.” This doesn’t mean that he got up twice.
