Dear Brothers and Sisters,

When we behold our Mother Mary, we see how a simple human person can say, “Yes” to God’s Word, and truly be a “dwelling place for God”. Our Baptism was the beginning of our supernatural life. Though we were not immaculately conceived as Mary was, we were cleansed of sin and infused with Sanctifying Grace which is a participation in the very Life of God the Trinity. God the Holy Spirit continues to sanctify us, as we listen — as Mary did, and do the Truth we hear.

God intends us to grow in His life, to be nourished as Mary was by His Word, by the Sacrament of His Body and Blood, by every encounter with Him as He continues to work within us. The Holy Spirit is given to us to bring us into the complete Truth of Jesus, to sanctify us as He sanctified Mary and all the saints who have gone before us. When we behold our Mother we see in her His Truth: “nothing is impossible with God”.

God willing, Friday, Nov. 9, I’m going to begin another 33 Day Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary ending on Dec. 12, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. St. Louis De Montfort wrote that this Consecration is a perfect renewal of our Baptismal Promises. May we gratefully renew our Baptism and begin anew — growing, answering God’s “call to be a Dwelling of the Most Holy Trinity” (cf. CCC 260). Each day, may His Light shine more brightly in His Church as He did in Mary. By His Grace let us behold our Mother by faith now, until we behold her in eternity with God, the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thanks Lee,

It is good to see someone not only took time to read this thread I began yesterday but to click on the Heart! I hope you and others are considering the “Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary” for yourselves or renewing the Consecration if you have already prayed that Act of Consecration in the past.

It has been a great blessing to me. I read both St. John Paul II and St. Teresa of Calcutta had consecrated themselves using the method of St. Luis de Montfort as he wrote about it in his treatise on “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin”.

Of course some already know that JPII’s papal motto was “Totus Tuus” (“All Yours”) --words taken directly from St. Louis de Montfort. Some may also have read that Mother Teresa of Calcutta encouraged her Missionaries of Charity toward De Montfot’s Total Consecration also. It was after reading De Montfort’s “True Devotion” at least half a dozen times that the Founder of the Legion Of Mary realized “This is True!” and subsequently founded the Legion of Mary to conquer the world for Jesus through Mary.

You can read Servant of God Frank Duff’s experience Here

I’d be very grateful if you and others would let me know if you are considering making this journey of 33 Days Preparation beginning this Friday, Nov. 9 – concluding on Dec. 12, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is a beautiful encouragement to one another when we travel together in His Love – with Mary and through her intercession. Thanks again.

Thanks so much midori for this beautiful image!!! Does it mean you are already under our Mother’s mantle? Have you given yourself – Totally to Jesus through Mary; “Totus Tuus”? I hope so and perhaps you will be joining us to renew your Consecration or to pray that beautiful Act of Total Consecration for the very first time, after our 33 Day Preparation Journey beginning this Friday and ending on Mary’s Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Any others who are reading this – I hope you are under Mary’s Mantle too! Thanks again, midori for your reply and for this lovely image of our Mother Mary!!!

Ah, yes, midori, – as a friend of mine told me recently – Mary is her “safe place”. Many of her children can identify with those words! How grateful I am to Jesus for giving His Mother to us from His Cross. He knew how much we needed her!
