When we unintentionally hurt others

Dear Lord, I ask pardon for all the times I that unintentionally or foolishly offend someone,
the times I come to realize through another person’s behavior or withdrawal,
for any time also that I haven’t known that I have offended others
or that my good intentions have gone awry.

I ask profound healing for them and for me.
Help me not to fall apart when I find my loving intentions have been misread or rejected.
Grant me wisdom and discernment.
And please give loving blessings to anyone with whom I have interacted during my life, well or mistakenly.

I pray for all who are saddened by their mistakes and ask God to bless and heal them and whoever is adversely affected by errors and mistaken intentions.

Sometimes we experience over-sensitive souls taking hurt and offense, over a completely innocent word or action.
Our intention to them is only kind and welcoming, but they misread and take offense and either get angry or unhappy and it is actually only in their own minds and their interpretation.

Many of us perhaps have found that such people, even take personally, some word or action of ours that has nothing to do with them personally. There are other things going on in our lives and our reasons have nothing to do with them personally.

Perhaps we have done this ourselves in a self-centered way, thinking that another person’s post, another person’s expression, their words, their actions, are centered on ‘me’!

Many of us may gave done this! without recognizing that others have a whole lot in their lives, and not everything has to do with our particular ‘me’.

For others, when and if they succumb to this fault
And for ourselves, when and if we succumb to this fault

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
