When You Get A New Miraculous Medal?

I’m very embarrassed about this, but I recently went on a trip and misplaced my Miraculous Medal.

So, When one gets a new Miraculous Medal do you have to have it re-blessed, or is enrollment in the Miraculous Medal forever like with the Brown Scapular.

don’t feel embarassed… people lose things all the time. I know it’s frustrating to lose something though.

Technically, if it is a new medal and has not already been blessed, it’s not being re-blessed.

Sorry for the poor choice of words in the term “re-bless”. My question actually is do I need to be re-invested in the Medal since I went though a formal investiture?

I’m not familiar with a formal investiture, but if the new medal has not been blessed, and you want it blessed, all you have to do is ask a priest to bless it for you.

I usually buy my Miraculous medals in bulk at my local Catholic store. I have the whole package blessed and save some for myself and give others away. They are gold in color and look great on a 14k gold chain. This way if you lose one, you have other to wear. Maybe someone will find the ones you lost and come back to Our Blessed Lady. BTY They come in pkgs. of 8-12. Hope this helped!
