When you go to heaven, will you be with your family?

I’m very curious… will we be able to stay close to our families, our spouses? I can’t even comprehend how wonderful Heaven would be, but it makes me sad to think we wouldn’t be with our loved ones. I haven’t read much about his subject.
 
In Heaven you will be able to communicate with all other souls in Heaven. You’ll be able to communicate telepathically as well as verbally.

You will certainly have a certain additional love for your family members, since they were the ones who you knew on Earth, but as a matter of fact, you will love the greatest saints even more. This is because once you have the Beatific Vision, your soul will have been perfectly purified of all imperfections and imbued with perfection in all virtues, and you will love those who have the greatest virtue the most, because they give the greatest glory to God.
 
Jesus said ‘you will be like angels’… that implies perfect knowledge and no free will so relationships with the other saints will be better than here on earth
 
If your loved ones are with you in heaven, then of course you will be close to them. We’re all part of the same body. Can’t get closer than that!
 
Is it wrong of me to be sad of the thought of not being with my family? I do want to go to heaven but it’s like I just always want to be with just them and god. I don’t know how to explain myself
 
But why would god make family such a big deal in life if they didn’t play a big part in heaven? I love my son so much, I couldn’t stand to be without him
 
I understand totally what you are saying. But we have to trust that being united to God in heaven will surpass any feelings for our families that we feel on earth. Our relationships with our loved ones are for the purpose of getting us through this life. In the next life, our needs will be met by our union with the Almighty. We will still know our family, but instead of looking towards each other, like we do now, we will all be looking towards God instead.
 
Jesus is with his family (the Holy Family). Sure, we will be with family. Jesus’s family is our family. Jesus is our brother. Mary is our mother. If you are a descendant of King David, he’ll be there too. St. Joseph will be there.

Just being with Mary, Jesus, and Joseph should be good enough, but it will be better than that.
 
Yes better… in communion with all the saints and in God’s glory

Because the family is a foretaste of what is to come. God is giving us an idea of what love is. But the eternal happiness is even more unimaginable.
Just think of the love you have for your son. Multiply that by a million times, and maybe the result would come close to a billionth of what the ultimate love you will experience in heaven.
 
They had free-will during their initial test. They didn’t behold the Beatific Vision yet.
 
Yes. After the Beatific Vision the good angels are no longer capable of evil.
