Wher do I find non-kitschy Mary statues?

And icons and things? I’m looking for a little statue of the Virgin for our home, and I would like to pick up some nice icons and things, but the Catholic stores nearest us have stuff that is very much not to my taste at all- very Fifties sentimental blond Jesus, all pastel paintings, that sort of thing.

A friend bought me a small reproduction of Fra Angelico’s Annunciation, which I love, and we have a St. Francis crucifix icon. I really like both of them. I like Orthodox and Byzantine style icons, and I would love to find little reproductions of, oh, any Medieval or Renaissance church icons or religious paintings. The statue of Our Lady at our church is wood with only a little paint, and I love it. She looks like a real person- so beautiful. I want something like that.

Can anyone help?

St. Ignatius Press has some lovely statues and icons.

I have their Bavarian Madonna and another smaller statue that I don’t see listed online. They are very high quality and beautiful. HTH!
