Myanmar, thousands dead.
People and politics are now allowing more people to die everyday.
Where are the churches!!! All of them, why are the churches allowing this?! We are suppose to be the body of Christ and we let this continue to happen. Now in China.
We are failing miserably.

Just venting, Thank you!

If you follow the news and some threads here, you see the reason – there is plenty of help for Myanmar, but the government of that country won’t let it in.

This is the story with hunger everywhere – it isn’t lack of food, nor lack of people willing to give. It’s governments and tribal warriors who use starvation as a weapon.

Yes, I saw where the Gov. over there will not let all the aid in, they want to control it.

Thanks!
I just needed to vent.

Just be careful in giving to “startup” charities that may appear. The best bang for the buck when giving to a charity is giving to those that know the region and deal with the region on a daily basis. Especially in Myanmar where they are highly suspicious of outside relief.

If you want to give money to help now, in the US give to Catholic Relief Services which is affiliated with Caritas.

Info on CRS is here:
