Id like to have crucifix in every room, but they are so expensive. Like 40$ for 8inch ones, I cannot afford that much right now.
Is there any website that sells used crucifixes or similar?
I looked ebay but also tend to be expensive and don’t have paypal. Do i need paypal for ebay?

At this point, you will have a hard time paying people on eBay if you don’t use Paypal.

I recommend you visit your local thrift stores to see if there are any used religious items. You also might ask at your church if there is any place where you can get such items cheap. Sometimes the churches have a thrift shop that sells religious goods, sometimes they even collect such items to give away to people who will use them as intended. Many religious items get cleaned out of deceased people’s and old people’s houses and donated or left at churches because the rest of the family doesn’t want them.

No, just call your parish and ask. Parish offices get flooded with catalogues.

I would try amazon and set the search parameters to cheapest to most expensive. You can also sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime so that you get free-2 day shipping.

God Bless, 🐬

New religious items are often quite expensive. Try thrift stores and flea markets. There’s lots of nice things to be had at bargain prices if you’re patient and persistent!

I found a nice stainless steel one on Amazon that I like. Will post a pic later.

There are some lovely inexpensive ones there.

Is there anyone in your parish travelling to an Eastern European country, South American or India that can bring one back for you? Religious items are usually a lot cheaper there.

In my area, we have Orthodox sisters from Belarus coming over a few times per year and if they don’t have what I need, then they will email pictures of what they have in the monastery and when they come the next time I pay and receive what I ordered.

I’d second this! When I was in Eastern Europe a couple of years ago there were BEAUTIFUL religious items at a fraction of what we would pay here.

There are often crucifixes and other religious items (among many other things) at parish rummage sales. Many of the local parishes near us do an annual rummage sale (usually put on by the parish women’s group).

If you live in an area with a fair number of Catholics, you also may have good luck finding some at used stores or estate sales.

We are placing a big order. Again. One of the priests in the area is driving to Poland… It is sort of almost “Buy 4-5 but pay for only 1”.

Etsy is also a decent place to find decently priced, used crucifixes and it doesn’t require paypal.
