Thank you. Right now, I feel like I’m at peace. But, I really hope, after Death, I am in the state of being “unborn.”

You’ve said allot in one sentence!
First, “I’m at peace” tells me that you are at rest. Rest meaning that you have come to the conclusion that the fate of your soul is safeguarded, thus, the reason to stop working to gain your salvation as if your salvation has already been gained.

Second, "I really hope, after Death, I am in the state of being “unborn.”, tells me that the word “unborn” is used to denote the state that God is, unborn and never dying, and one in which you believe you will have in hope.

That is my understanding of your post.

Let me add that hope seen is not hope, but what is unseen is hoped for.

Salvation of our souls when seen no longer hopes but finds rest.
If we yet hope for it, we are still striving.

So, in your post there are two opposites, peace/hope.

“Hope” is for peace with God, while peace is what is when it is reached, resulting in rest.

Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, 2
3
for you know that the testing 3 of your faith produces perseverance.
4
And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5
But if any of you lacks wisdom, 4 he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it.
6
But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.
7
For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord,
8
since he is a man of two minds, unstable in all his ways.

Blessed is the man who perseveres in temptation, 6 for when he has been proved he will receive the crown of life that he promised to those who love him.
13
7 No one experiencing temptation should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God is not subject to temptation to evil, and he himself tempts no one.
14
Rather, each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
15
Then desire conceives and brings forth sin, and when sin reaches maturity it gives birth to death.
16
8 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers:
17
all good giving and every perfect gift 9 is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.

James 1.

Besides we dont fear death as Catholics we welcome death when we are called to it, for we have overcome death in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, For not even death can keep us from God who loves us and we are in God for he is Love.
I absolutely agree with this. As horribly devastated as I was at the death of my Mom (she was only 63 :crying: ), at the same time I was “excited” about the fact that she would get to see Jesus in Heaven. :extrahappy: We were blessed to have a chance to say goodbye :sad_bye: and see you later. :console::heaven:

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The evidence is seen as peace within.

You need not look in a church, a book, or look to others to find God.

God is in you, God is part of you, and you are part of God. To find God one only needs to be aware that God is always with them.

May I ask how you knew she was to see Jesus?

You are correct in what you said, and books, church and others maybe instrumental in our cause or quest to find God.

Here is where you will find God:

Wherever there are NO people!!! 😃
Ah, but self is what is against God to start out with, so to come to terms with self is where the key is.

Therefore, people and the written word around us are of all sorts giving us a means to distinguish between self and God.

Had Jesus not pointed it out, self would have still believed in self.

when i am alone with God/nature… i feel very close to God… and don’t feel half the guilt about my imperfections that i do when i am around people… I think we Christians who try to please both God and man… and that should be all of us… well, we can get those 2 things mixed up, for one thing… God is far more forgiving & understanding about our weakn esses and sins than people are… which is probably the main reason i said what i said…

Some philoospher said something like:

Hell is other people… After all i have been through… i concur…

Faith.

I still pray for her every day in case she went to Purgatory first, but my faith in Jesus tells me she is/will be with Him.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

She did look to Christ right?

Rest assured!

I can relate to all that you said but with concern for those who have not the knowledge of what we know about God.

Hell’s door is where we need to be, as those attempting to enter in we may persuade to rethink it by turning to God for help.

Thank you! :hug1: Even though it’s been almost 2 years I am still devastated and miss her. We had 3 weeks from her diagnosis (cancer) until her death. (She died Monday of Holy Week 2007) I know absolutely without a doubt that Jesus is the only one getting me through this loss. Part of my faith is because of the faithful example of her and my Dad.

very good point for all of us to keep in mind… I have thought about trying to go to where the worst sinners hang out (abortion clinic??) and trying to evangelize… but i need support… I’ve done that b4 and those popele are… well, the worst to deal with… !! which, of course, is not surprising… since they are the worst PERIOD. (what they’re DOING is the worst, i should say)…

An important point to remember when we crusade for something we believe in, and that is to remember to lead away rather than to force away.

By leading away, we are appealing to a change of heart which in turn would change the action being addressed.

To force, on the other hand would mean to enforce our view by force which could lead to bodily harm.

As a crusader for Christ, let me leave you with this verse: 1Pe 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

When they see God in you to burn their conscience, then they may be lead to repentance.

Well, this may sound strange, but, in order to shed some light on my response to Gabriel of 12, feeling at peace is my way of saying I have made piece with my demons and feel as if I am one with the angels. 😃 In other words, I am happy right now. If I were to die at this very moment, I would not mind… which is weird because I am merely 17, and I fully understand that I am still young and have a full life ahead of me.

But, of course, life can end at any time. Don’t think I fear Death because I don’t. Now, if it can be avoided, I will evade it for the sake of my loved ones; but if there’s no way out, then, so be it. It was my time to go. I’m cool with that. 🙂

Of all the religious institutions, the religious beliefs, could I find God?
I mean, could I find out who God is and how He relates to me?

If I found God say in the Jehovah’s Witness organization, would that make God unreachable by them?
How about the Mormons, the Seventh day Adventist, and all non Catholic organizations?

What would limit God to reaching a non Catholic, or is He limited?

Some thoughts here in an attempt to justify God’s ability to reach anybody and everybody whom God’s hand touches.

If the heart is where a change is made from the desires of this world to those of heaven, is it not the spirit of God at work in the individual apart from who or what that individual is?

By is, I mean what that persons religious beliefs are?

Peace>>>AJ
Finding God is not simply believing something about God.

God is, everywhere present, and really is not limited by anything that we think or do.

However, the only way to know God with certainty is to ask him to deliver you to some destination. There are a lot of lesser prayers, but in being sent as Jesus prayed believers would be sent, by God, means that your body is reborn from spirit. You are born of God, and have overcome the physical world.

You become a new creature, an offspring from the Father.

You do have to trust in the reality of God, and his soverignty(kingdom), this you must be sincere about. If you believe in the reality of God answering your request he will do that, in his time.

Other than this, don’t worry about anything else…

You know when you get there.

God’s seed is already in us, we need but to discover it?

Peace>>>AJ
When God’s seed is already in us, that is the proof that God has come to us. Now, do we recognized or believed that God’s seed is already in us? Of course, this kind of question is a personal question that valid for everybody, including my self.
