Where can I find information on other Rites?

What is the relationship of the other Orthodox rites with the Catholic Church? Do any of them claim to be the first church or descended from the Apostles as the Catholic Church does? Especially the Coptic Rite? Where can I find detailed information about these rites? I checked the newadvent site but it wasn’t very clear. Thanks.
