Where can I find out how to plan a funeral?

I am planning my mother’s service in advance (she suffers from Alzheimer’s). Apparently there are only certain songs, readings, etc., that are acceptable and no one will allow me to review the missal that is used. I guess they are hard to come by. I’m finding it hard to get information. The only Catholic book on liturgy that I could find is around $60.
