I’m looking for the passage where Jesus says something along the lines of “everyone is welcome at my Father’s table”.

How about this from the 8th chapter of Matthew! 8:11 “I tell you, many will come from the east and west to share the banquet22 with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob23 in the kingdom of heaven,”

Thanks to all ( including for the link). So far I can’t see it but its always possible the expression I’m thinking of was not said. Maybe I’ve just heard it during discussions.

I believe it has something to do with the centurion in Matthew 8:5-13, but for some reason I am having trouble finding it as a quote. I will keep looking.

You might like to check out Luke, chapter 14. There are a couple of parables there about banquets:

Sample verses:
Luke 14:12 He said also to the man who had invited him, "When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your kinsmen or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and you be repaid. 14:13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind

(next parable)
Luke 14:21 So the servant came and reported this to his master. Then the householder in anger said to his servant, Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and maimed and blind and lame.’ 14:22 And the servant said, Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’ 14:23 And the master said to the servant, Go out to the highways and hedges, and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

This parable is also in Mt. 221-14 also. Verse 10 there reads:
*“And those servants went out into the streets and gathered ALL whom they found, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with guests.” *

"]I am watching “Jesus of Nazareth” Story…the Italian Version made in 1977 I believe.

A few scenes ago, the Centurion (Ernest Borgnine) asks Christ to heal his Servant. It is done and the Centurion walks away. A minute later, the Jews complain to Jesus saying in effect…“Now you even heal the Romans?”

Christ replies: “Everyone is Welcome At My Father’s Table…”

That’s from the movie…from the writer of the script… I looked and can not find those exact words in the Bible…

good luck!
