Where can I find writtings from Augustine and Aquainas?

So today I was at borders and it had the “City of God” and “The Confessions” by St. Augustine, and they also had the full set of “Summa Theologica” by St. Thomas Aquinas, I wanted to get them because they were actualy translations from the original source, but being that it’s at Borders I feared there might be err in them, I wanted to see about the translators and they were from people who knew Latin, and ancient languages. So I wanted to be safe and ask here to see if anyone knows where I can buy these books that are actual authentic tranlations from these two saint’s writtings? I don’t mind if they have some intro or short commentary, but I really just want the translations. Thank you very much.

There is the three volume set Faith of the Early Fathers and I have book about Thomas Aquinas I got from a bookstore.
 
I have the Dominican English Translation of the Summa Theologica; it is the best translation and contains the full text being over three thousand pages it is a great edition.

I would make sure all the translations you have contain an Imprimatur and a Nihil Obstat (usually marked on the page with publication details).

I believe this is an online copy of the translation you are referring to:

The marking is the 1912 edition simply because I prefer texts and translations undertaken before the First World War. Atheism may have abounded in Europe after the 1840’s, but it didn’t really ‘take off’ until the post-1918 period. We know that episcopal imprimaturs granted before 1914 are always traditional and reliable.

St. Thomas’ entire Summa is there in that translation, and you can click “Read Online” (to the left of the information) to skim through, or “PDF” to download it. It may not be a real book, but sometimes we want to save money. I’m certainly not shelling out hundreds of dollars for the Summa Theologica at the moment, especially when it’s legally free. 😃

Yes that is the version; although it was revised in 1920; and reissued Imprimatur and Nihil as appropriate.

Did you check inside the front covers to see if they had an imprimatur or nihil obstat?
 
If you are looking for authentic copies of these writings, you may want to contact a Dominican Priory or house of study. Or the Augustinians. They should be able to send you in the right direction.
