Wow. PaxHouse is the bomb! Now those are some Crucifixes. I would not mind spending $200, I just wonder if a if a couple of newlyweds would have a full appreciation for it?

Maybe this will be a trend for other Father’s of the Bride(or Groom for that matter). I think the secularist and media have dissuaded far to many Fathers to forget their rolls as leaders of their “Domestic Churches” (aka the Family). After a few decades of being absent the Altar Crucifix is just now coming back to the Altars in our Diocese in the US.

But the Pax House you sent me is really nice. Thk.

I agree with you that the domestic role of parents have suffered from distraction because of temporal matters. And, you are on the right track in helping bring back the practice of putting our faith in the core of family life. A married couple is bound in love and the Crucifix is a visual reminder of a great love and a call to prayer. Remember what Father Peyton said about “a family that prays together, stays together”? The bells have been ringing loudly and competing with all the other noises for many years now…for the time to spare in prayer together at home and we can all start doing what you are doing by giving reminders of faith to newlyweds. We can leave the other wedding guests to give teapots, silverware etc.
