Where did Moses and Elijah go when they died?

I was contemplating the Transfiguation. My question is Where did Moses and Elijah go when they died? When they met Jesus on Tabor, was this a conversion experience for them? Did Jesus lead them into heaven? I remember that Moses could not go into the promised land, --did this change after the Transfiguation since Jesus is the only way to heaven?
