The Authority of God is needed to alter the bible, it is the inerrant word of God. Changing it, in anyway risks introducing error either directly, or as a result of removing information which would otherwise explain any apparently contradiction or error. In fact, the bible it’s self ends (almost, 2nd to last passage) with this passage:Just curious, what authority was needed to rearrange the order of the books of the Bible, at least in Luther’s time, and where is that authority specifically written?

It would seem to me, that if you’re going to follow a faith based soly on an altered version of the bible, with altered doctrine and theology, you had best besure the alterations came from God. No?18 For I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book. 20 He that giveth testimony of these things, saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
