My best friend recently married my good friend and I’m not sure how I should handle this new relationship. My good friend Victor who is married to my best friend is having surgery. He is very worried and afraid that things could go wrong. His thinks that nobody really cares or is there for him. I have ask him if another girlfriend and I could go pray for him the evening before the surgery. He said"NO!" and he said he wanted to be with his wife. He seems mad at me. I know that this is probably his anxiety. I love him dearly but I don’t think he realizes this. He wants me to show him this but how do I do it without being too close and causing strife among his wife, him and I. His wife and I are best friends. I am a single gal. What do I do? Help!

Send him a prayer card…and a mass offering for his speedy recovery. Let his wife know that as well. During his recovery, bring over some dinner for his wife and him, so that she doesn’t have to worry about one thing.

Friends support each other, not put stress in relationships. Pray for the right words as well. I’ll add him to my prayer list too.

Dearest stbruno. You must be truly blessed with the Holy Spirit. The words you gave me truly opened my eyes. Many thanks to you for the advice and the prayers. God bless.

I am truly blessed that they are good friends. now that they are married it is more difficult and I can say that it is definitely a different relationship, however we are trying to make it work. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable, I have to realize that they are a family and sometimes it is necessary and important for me to back off a little. I do not want to come between them. If it means that it breaks up the friendship then so be it. I would stay away because I love them both and would not in anyway want to cause strife for them. We are still trying to fiind the right grove to fit in but we do care about each other and feel like we want to find a way to make it all work. I know it is hard but I really try to find appropriate times to be with them. Usually I am the one to make the effort. They are important to me so I will continue to be the first to extend the hand of friendship.🙂
