I joined the KOC last year and we received a Rosary, they said you should keep it in your pocket at all times. It’s my only one and that where it stays unless of course I’m praying.

Is this disrespecting the Rosary?

Well I have these little “zipper sacks” for lack of a better time
for my not-primary rosaries, but for my main rosary (Confirma-
tion Gift), I keep it still in its plastic bag within a red velvet box
within this nice wooden box (kinda trapezoid shaped with a
rounded top) which has a metal “fasten, clip, lock…” (what
do you call those things…?).

in my bedroom I have a prayer table, with a few statues and pictures of Jesus and our blessed mother and my religious books. I keep my rosary there.
I don’t think that carrying your rosary in your pocket is being disrespectful. However, for me personally I’ve noticed that when I carry the rosary around in my pocket the connective links tends to break easier.

I have one in the car, one in my purse, one in my coat pocket, one in my office at work, …

Not at all, as far as I know. Many people (self included) carry a Rosary in their pockets. 👍

I think its a good thing to have more than one Rosary:)
I have one in the Pocket of my jacket, that one is a Wood Rosary and I think it can take some “beating” so to say as its made in a solid material.

Its not disrespectful at all to carry a Rosary in Your Pocket, if anything its smart:)
If somethings happening and Im in great need of Mama Marys intercession I would be happy to know Im having a Rosary near by:)
Also remember that the kids in fatima and St Bernadette of Lourdes had their Rosaries nearby when The Blessed Virgin appeared to them.

The Rosary I hold dearest is a St Benedict Rosary that I bought recentley.
Its my finest and its quite small and easy to pray With.
the cons about it is that it will break quite easily I think:(

Sorry for my rant, to sum up: My advise is for you to buy more Rosaries as you can never have to many of them anyway:)
Pray the Rosary as Our Lady of Fatima urged us to do!

If you havent, I`ll strongly recommend for you to go have it blessed by Your priest:)

Also I store my Rosaries in a drawer along With my Seven Sorrows Rosary and my Saint Medals.

God Bless!

I keep my main rosary in a leather pouch in my pocket at all times. This is the one I use the most and it has medals hanging off of it but no real signs of serious wear because I keep it in a pouch when not praying with it.

I keep a rosary from Medjugorje on my desk at home, a glow in the dark rosary and a wood rosary by my bedside, some of my more personal rosaries I keep on my prayer altar in my closet and my first rosary is in the hands of a statue of Our Lady of Fatima there. I have rosaries pretty much everywhere but I have extra pouches for when I need to carry others with me.

Keep your rosary on you at all times in case you need to pray with it. Always use it daily! Keep extra rosaries with you in case anyone is ever in need.

Blessings!

i keep a plastic rosary in my pocket, always. i also have one in each vehicle and also some new plastic ones to pass out to people when i feel the need. i don’t think it is necessary to keep it in some special place but if you have a real nice one and you want to keep it by your saints or in a special place i think that’s cool but i pray the rosary and divine mercy daily and need it close to me so in my pocket is where it is kept.

I keep one in my purse and one in my nightstand.

When I used to own a car, I also kept one there. The important thing is that they be convenient to get to. I like to be able to access my rosary. When I am on the bus, waiting in line, whereever, I want to be able to pray.

I keep my Rosary on my bedside table. I usually just carry it in my pocket while at Mass.

I keep mine under my pillow.
A priest told me to do that.

God bless you!

I keep it in my pocket tied inside a little bag. The other one I hang from the headboard of my bed in case I want to pray the rosary at night before bed.

You really should keep it in your pocket. It’s a devotion after all. If this one is special to you, then keep it at home and get a cheaper rosary to carry with you. Some people get the little rosary chaplets that have a single decade they can use five times.

I have seen rosaries made from cordage too. They look nice and wouldn’t get hurt lugging them around in your pocket either.

But I wear 5.11 pants with additional pockets. I guess if I wore jeans, it would be a pain. I recommend you wear cargo pants anyway.

On my nightstand or in my drawer. Then I have one in the car just in case I forget to bring it.

My main rosary is in a pouch on a table in our bedroom along with my devotional books. The rosary given to me by my sister in law and brother in law when I told them I wanted to convert is in my purse at all times. The rosary given to me by a dear friend is in my car at all times. The rosary that has been blessed by Pope Benedict XVI I gave to my precious husband who is in RCIA now.

Thanks for all the replies. It looks like I need to get a few more Rosaries to fill in all the suggested spots

I keep my main one in a leather pouch in my purse. I also keep one on my statue of Nossa Senhora de Fátima.

I hung my daughter’s on her cross above her bed.

I find all of these answers inetresting! 🙂

It’s not disrespectful at all brother knight! I keep mine in my pocket at all times as well! I also tend to carry around many cheap plastic rosaries which you can by in bulk, an I give them away to those in need (Catholic or not). There’s something powerful in those beads.
