Where do you keep your Rosary?

I have a fair collection of rosaries. I’ve got them “stashed” everywhere. Car, bedroom, on statues, and a box of them under my bed. Some are in a repair box. I have trouble keep them together. The links keep breaking. And then I have half dozen chaplet rosaries and a couple of Seven Sorrows rosaries.

I have given many away to grand kids and friends. Some were absolutely beautiful but I can only use one at a time. I have a favorite that I keep in a leather pouch. I use it to lead the rosary before our Sunday TLM.
 
I carry it in my pocket when away from home, especially since it’s been blessed.

At home, it hangs next to my wife’s on a hook by the front door, under a relief of Our Lady.

I don’t see how it could be disrespectful to carry your rosary everywhere in your pocket.
 
I keep mine in the computer bag I use for work (it’s inside the plastic Rosary Case it came in)
 
My right front pants pocket, alongside my other weapon, pocket knife.

One in my car that hangs from the rear view mirror, one under my pillow (macramé), one in a blue case by my Bible on a living room table, one in my desk at home, a one decade ring in my office desk at work, several collector rosaries that belonged to deceased family members, my old first communion rosary that’s over 50 yrs old in a little white zippered case, etc. etc. Sometimes I just say the rosary on my fingers. I routinely find rosaries in junk stores, etc and send them to Africa with our parish priest who goes back home each year at the order of his Bishop in Nigeria.🙂
 
I don’t know if anyone mentioned this already, but St. John Bosco encouraged children to keep their Rosaries in their pockets.

He said in order to “pray without ceasing,” we could keep our hand in our pockets praying the Rosary, even as we go about our daily business. He even said that just reaching for our Rosary is a prayer in itself! 🙂
 
Well i keep my Rosary, in my Rosary pouch in my pocket,or I have one wrap around my car mirrior so I can say it ehen I,am on the Road,I have some wrap around Our Lady statue,my cross above my bed.
 
In a silk zipper pouch in my purse. Special section that also contains some of my favorite holy cards, prayers etc.

The answers have gone well beyond the original question, and I enjoy reading all the answers. It has given people a chance to tell a little bit about how important the Rosary is to them.

I got my K of C Rosary about 18 years ago now. For the longest time, I really didn’t carry mine much at all. And I was saying the Rosary even less. I didn’t get it and it didn’t have much meaning for me. When I was a teen-ager, I came to see the Rosary as a chore, so I avoided it for many, many years.

But a few years ago, I had a change of heart and I bought a new Rosary, and a carrying pouch with it, and I keep it in my pocket all the time. I find it stays much neater when I keep it in the pouch.

I still have my original K of C Rosary and I have that with me in my brief case. I don’t carry my brief case very often, but when I grab it, I know that I have at least 3 Rosaries there. I lead the Rosary now each month before our council business meeting, so I like to have extras with me. If someone forgets theirs, I can lend them one of mine.

I also have a few of those little finger Rosary rings. Sometimes I like to hold one during times of stress, and the finger Rosary rings are good for that.

I have one of the one-decade chains for use in the car. I like to say the Rosary on the way to work and again on the way home. So the small chain is easier to work with while driving. Plus I like to start out all road trips with the Rosary.

I have a small one, a straight string of 10 beads plus a cross, hanging over my desk at work on the cubical wall, right over my phone.

I’ve collected several over the years.

I do not have one on my motorcycle, since I can’t use one while riding. But there have been times when I left the house and realized I forgot to put mine in my pocket and I turned around and went home to get it.

I have two. I keep one in a gold box in my room for backup! 🙂

The other one I take around with me, but I like to keep it on my bedside table with the statue with Our Blessed Mother to keep watch. 🙂 See attachment!
 
One in each bedroom of my home, by the bed or displayed. One in each vehicle. One on my person at all times, except when bathing :). Several others in various locations.

I keep my K of C Rosary in a zippered pouch in my left front pocket. I have another Rosary hanging from the rearview mirror of my truck. I have an iRosary on my iPhone. All weapons on the several battlefronts of my life.

I am a big fan of the Hahn family and the beautiful twine Rosaries that they make. I keep one in my left front pocket whenever I am out of the house. I’d sooner the leave the house without my wallet or my car keys than I’d leave without my Rosary.

I keep my Rosary in my purse. I always feel a kind of peace when I have it with me, and since I always have my purse with me (and because my pockets are much too small :o ), I thought it would be best to keep it there.
 
I have a few really nice Rosaries. But my favorite one is what I call my work-a-day Rosary. It is a cheap corded blue plastic Rosary. It is indestructible and I can always find it where ever I leave it.

I have had it for years and years and it always turns up if I happen to misplace it.
 
Purse and travel pouch for my make-up so even when I travel I can be sure I have one! Hotel rooms (when you are by yourself) are the perfect place for meditation and the Rosary. Sometimes while on a long plane trip I put my headphones on and listen to (and pray silently) the Rosary on the iPieta app.:rolleyes:
