Where do you keep your Rosary?

I joined the KOC last year and we received a Rosary, they said you should keep it in your pocket at all times. It’s my only one and that where it stays unless of course I’m praying.

Is this disrespecting the Rosary?
As a Knight, did you seriously believe that there was even the possibility that the K of C would ever disrespect the holy rosary, Our Lady or Our Lord? :banghead:

I agree, no way that could ever happen.

But new Knights wouldn’t necessarily know that. It’s a different experience for everyone, and sometimes it takes time for everything to sink in. A good sponsor/proposer can help you get through those questions in the beginning, but it doesn’t always work that way.

Definitely get to know some of the members that have been around awhile, especially the ones that you see often. If your sponsor isn’t in that category, these guys will help fill in any gaps, and they will enjoy doing it.

👍

Hard to picture even a first-degree Knight, who has been a member for a year, thinking that the K of C could disrespect the rosary.

I have a rosary app on my phone I use(don’t have an actual rosary yet)
So it is always with me and almost always in my pocket 👍

I keep mine either in my pocket/car in a red velvety pouch, on a stand next to my bed, or next to my computer.

My Catholic identity is only 46% downloaded so I don’t have a Madonna statue / wall hanger to put it on yet. I need to level up more. The one I’m using is really too big to be worn around my neck; the beads are 18mm diameter and the crucifix goes down to my waist. I’m not much of a minimalist. I like big & ornate rosaries.

I have several rosaries around the house and usually one or more in my car.

When my wife died she had a rosary with her - and a serene smile on her face. 👍

-Also the last rites and Holy Communion the day before.

I always have one in my pocket, my purse, have 2 in my truck, several in my bedroom. Carrying in my pocket they do tend to break (I have 3 in need of repair right now) but I found a Rosary that is a replica of the Rosary made and given to our soldiers in WWI and it is strong so I don’t think it will break. Getting ready for a road trip to AZ for Christmas and I know for sure we have at least 3 if not more Rosaries traveling in the vehicle with us. :signofcross:

I never meant to imply that the Knights would disrespect the rosary. I just took what they said literally - and kept it in my pocket. Sorry if I mislead anyone down the wrong road.

Do you have a link?

I keep a lot of my rosaries stored away in one of those large"keepsake" boxes, but a lot of the best ones I have made myself sit on my floor. Like all the good metal rosaries I have made I sit them on my floor because I don’t want them getting tangled with my other rosaries in the box.

I’ve been wanting to get zipper pouches for all of them but they are expensive ($5 each). I’m not sure if anyone else knows of a substitute for the zipper pouches, something cheaper? I was thinking just a regular stringed pouch would work but I’m sure those are not cheap either.

Other than praying my “Daily Decade” through the ULRA, I haven’t been praying the rosary at all lately that much. I really want to find the time to do it Which is kind of odd because I am the biggest promoter I know of praying the Mysteries on the rosary!

I keep mine in a zipper pouch that is attached to my key ring. It is a really strong pouch and one of the best rosary holders I’ve had since it’s attached to something I always have on me. Plus since I’ve gotten this it’s kept me from losing my keys! 🙂

Look, we’re all adult Catholics here. (I stress the Catholic part). My grandfather uses old Crown Royal bags! 👍 They’re perfect! And even the really small bottles come in really small bags!

What a great idea! Now I just have to start drinking Crown Royal. 😃

Well I was afraid my rosary would get broken just carrying in my pocket, so I got a rosary case to carry my rosary in. I put the rosary in the case and put the case in my pocket.

I felt like letting my rosary get ruined by carrying it in a pocket with a knife / change would be disrespecting something holy. I didn’t want to do that.
