Where do you keep your Rosary?

I have two Rosaries. One I purchased from a monastery, the other at the Catholic Information Center in Washington, DC. The “Monastery” Rosary stays home and the “CIC” Rosary accompanies me everywhere, including the courthouse. As a lawyer, I find my Rosary’s constant presence very reassuring. I always make a point of praying the Rosary during my daily commute and right before Holy Mass.

I keep a lot of my rosaries stored away in one of those large"keepsake" boxes, but a lot of the best ones I have made myself sit on my floor. Like all the good metal rosaries I have made I sit them on my floor because I don’t want them getting tangled with my other rosaries in the box.

I’ve been wanting to get zipper pouches for all of them but they are expensive ($5 each). I’m not sure if anyone else knows of a substitute for the zipper pouches, something cheaper? I was thinking just a regular stringed pouch would work but I’m sure those are not cheap either.

Other than praying my “Daily Decade” through the ULRA, I haven’t been praying the rosary at all lately that much. I really want to find the time to do it Which is kind of odd because I am the biggest promoter I know of praying the Mysteries on the rosary!

you can buy those organza pouches at any craft store. If you need oodles of them (I make rosaries) you can buy them in bulk on ebay. I buy the black ones because people of either sex don’t object to the color.

If you give / gift special ones, Pier 1 has beautiful small beaded boxes. You can get them on clearance no, post Christmas. Around 3 bucks each.

I have 2 rosaries. One is in a small wooden box next to my statue do marry on my nightstand. The other one is a bit smaller that is in a rosary pouch that I will either carry in my coat pocket during winter or in my pocket during the summer.

I carry a rosary that belonged to my paternal grandmother in a small zippered pouch in my purse, so it’s always handy. There is also a rosary on my dresser. And I have a rosary that belonged to my maternal grandmother put away somewhere.

One sad benefit of being the last Catholic holdout among the grandchildren in my family is that I inherit the Catholic stuff whenever someone passes.

Hmm - I have quite a few rosaries so they are all over the place. One is in a zippered pouch in my purse. One is in dresser drawer. Others are in various containers in different boxes.
