Most typically, but canon 847, par. 1 allows oil pressed from other plants as does the Roman pontifical which preceeded it in expressing this change (ROils 3-4). This is a concession to those places where olive oil is unobtainable or difficult to obtain. Frankly though I don’t know where those places would be, but the law does provide for a substitute.
