Where does God go

When one decides to deliberately sin and Satin gets his way with that person does God stay out of it and hope you come back or does he join the fray for your soul? Some may think this is a strange question, but this is a thought that has occurred to me and I would appreciate a spiritually contemplated correct answer. Thank you to all who help.

God is never “out of the fray.” God is available right up to the last moment of your conscience life to accept you and forgive any truly repentant sin or to accept your adoration. God is nowhere and everywhere as He can not be contained just as His Love and Mercy can not be contained. It is a “mystery” and there isn’t any pat answer. The general answer to your question is “yes”. It is a little odd to say “join the fray for your soul”, since God, being omnipotent, doesn’t need to “fight” to do something he wills.

What God does do is constantly offer a sinner opportunities to repent and return to a good life.

How do these opportunities manifest? God offers “actual graces” to people to help them overcome vices, and may cause them to come into contact with people who can help them.
However, we often are unable to see God’s action, because we lack the full picture of his plan. We know, however, that God created us all for eternal life and wants us to accept it, so He makes it possible by offering us the grace we need - ultimately, it’s up to our free will to choose Him.

You didn’t answer the question… Of course choosing not to offend God is the always the best thing to do, but what bearing does that fact have on the question at hand?

My uneducated guess would be that God can do whatever He wants. Peace.

Well, since its said God will never infringe upon our free will, if someone has willingly chosen to exclude God from their lives, I dont think God would intervene or engage in any way shape or form.

Mike , how about rather than turning One’s back to God like an atheist he just chooses to engage in a life of sin like fornicating, ddrinking to excess, experimenting with drugs etc. Such a person may even attend mass.
