Where Does God Want Me?

While I would love to continue living in Ohio, I’m not sure that I’m meant to anymore. Life has been challenging for the past two years and looks to become even more of an adventure. God has been merciful through His Divine Providence in providing me with enough short-term contract positions to get by … permanent jobs are more difficult to come by in my area, especially in my field. I am currently between contracts and looking for work.

At this point I’m open to moving and to going where the Lord sends me, hoping that life’s journey will take me to an area of the country where the Catholic Church is thriving.

Please pray for guidance and that the Lord will open doors to show me what I’m supposed to do and where I’m supposed to go next.

Know that you are in my prayers as well.

God has given you a cross of uncertainty which is a hard one. I have experienced such too. My adult daughter suggested that anyone suffering from any cross to start the 30 day Rosary Novena. It’s takes a real commitment to be able to do all 30 days. However we know that Our Lady always listens and will speak with her Son on our behalf. I hope with prayer, sacrifice and frequenting Confession and Holy Mass that you will receive the guidance you desire. God bless.

Lord, hear the prayer intentions of your faithful warrior, the phoenix. Please open doors and guide the phoenix to where you want them to be to gain permanent employment if that is your will. I ask this through the intercession of you Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Our good God, please guide our phoenix to the locality and to the work that most allows reliable, valuable and satisfying use of the talents and experience of our prayerful friend.
Angels of God please guide the phoenix to where this can be realized.
 
Heavenly Father, please help the Phoenix to find new work. If you want him to work in another city or town please let him know where you want him to go. May he place all of his confidence in your goodness and providence and know that you will provide for him and will bring good out of his situation. Help him to keep strong in faith, hope and love; and help him to always seek first your kingdom, like he is doing. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.
 
I have already prayed for your intention. But, as I read your post – if it’s just you, YOU be the vibrant Church in the world. Let your faith guide you in your speech and in your deeds. Follow the Lord.

Advice can be very off the mark and dangerous. Someone once told me: There are a lot of chances out there, why don’t you take one? I would hasten to add, prayerfully take one!

Thank you for the kindness of your prayers, they are definitely helping already, even though at this point I’m smack dab in the midst of the uncertain situation of applying for jobs online, making phone calls, attending interviews at agencies, and waiting to hear results.

The 30 day Rosary novena sounds like a good idea. You’re so right, greenmoira, that there’s much to be said for perseverance in prayer when it comes to not skipping a day.

As for being the vibrant Church in the world, Crumpy, actually I’m very blessed right where I live that there are several parishes where I’m real happy … my home parish, the downtown parish with the Latin Mass, and a former parish that’s close to me that I still attend sometimes all have tremendously wonderful priests, God bless them! Am just hoping that if I need to relocate to another area of the country that I’ll once again find a good parish or parishes with holy priests. Thank you for your prayers, and I’ll keep an eye out for those chances …

To those reciting traditional prayers for me, this is so appreciated as these prayers are so powerful … they are the language of the Church. I tend towards posting simple Hail Marys myself on other prayer threads here at CAF.

To those who offer encouragement and prayers in your own words or even quiet mental prayer, this is so appreciated as the Holy Spirit moves you.

Continued prayers are definitely welcome and needed.
