Thank you very much for the kindness of your prayers.
May God richly bless you!
This is a difficult time right now,
in fact, the whole year especially has been challenging
with the deaths of both my grandfather and my father
as well as looking for work and wondering where I should live.

One important note:

I am female.

It seems that some of you weren’t sure since my name gives no idea.

I hope you will keep me in prayer.

Praying for you all in turn,

~~ the phoenix

Praying for God’s will for you but hoping the work will come to you where you already are, as you’re happy in you Church community.
But Your will be done, Lord

the phoenix I’m sorry about your loss of your Dad and grandfather. God bless their souls and may God give you everything you need in relation to your losses.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Lord, hear our prayer.

Lord, hear the prayer intentions of your faithful warrior, the phoenix. Please open doors and guide her to where you want her to be to gain permanent employment if that is your will. I ask this through the intercession of you Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Thank you all for your continuing prayers.

Tomorrow I have one job interview, and Friday another. The one tomorrow would be a full-time position (yay) … the challenge being that the requirements of the position call for computer software skills using programs I don’t have listed on my resume and am not experienced with. While I do believe I can quickly learn and am happy to do so, it’s an uphill battle starting off an interview trying to convince a possible boss of this. That said, he DID invite me to his office for an interview, and that’s a good start.

The interview Friday would be for a position that I think would be a far better match … it would involve foreign language translation. The challenge being that it would start off as a part-time internship with no benefits, there being a possibility of growing into a full-time position. Thing is, translation is my strong point in life. So in this interview I’d have to convince a potential boss that yes, I’d be quite willing and happy to work for far less money than a person with my education and experience would normally expect to receive.

May God bless you all.

i have you in my prayers

Glory be to The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be
World without end

Amen

Trishie: Thank you so much for the prayers for my father and grandfather! And for your kindness in praying that I can remain in Ohio. Funny thing is, there’s another friend praying so that I can move away from Ohio! And as for me, I’m open to staying or going as is God’s Will.

May God bless you all.

Thank you Lord, for the possibilities offered to the phoenix. May her interviews both go well, but ultimately we ask that you guide her to whatever is best for her. Help her in the challenge of interviewing, that she is able to convey her skills and experience to ehr potential employers. And keep her spirits up while waiting to hear back. I ask this through the intercession of Your Moat Holy Mother, Mary.

Thanks to everyone continuing to pray for me, among them:

Ashurie, bre, tbcrawford, and Irishmom2!

Your prayers continue to be effective, and there’s still a ways to go.

My interview of today went pretty well … that said, they won’t know if they’ll be calling me in for a second interview until late next week. This would be for a full-time position and in the first interview the man I spoke with wanted to give me a big picture of what the company does so I really don’t know what the day to day responsibilities are … I can guess and feel confident that I can handle the job based on the fact that he seems to like me, but, right now my resume is being forwarded elsewhere in the company for other people to decide whether my qualifications are a good enough match.

Meanwhile, there’s the interview tomorrow. It would be doing translating, which I love, but I’m told it will be part time with no benefits and low pay since it’s a small company … as well, who knows how long the position will last? Could go full time but for how long?

And now a third company wants to place me somewhere but it would only be for maybe three months, there’s been absolutely no word as to amount of payment, and it feels like they want to rush me in real fast to cover for someone who left … which could mess up the other job prospects above. But then again, it could be a foot in the door at a big company?

The title of my prayer thread definitely remains relevant!

Thank you for any continued prayers and God bless you for your help,

~~ the phoenix

While I would love to continue living in Ohio, I’m not sure that I’m meant to anymore. Life has been challenging for the past two years and looks to become even more of an adventure. God has been merciful through His Divine Providence in providing me with enough short-term contract positions to get by … permanent jobs are more difficult to come by in my area, especially in my field. I am currently between contracts and looking for work.

At this point I’m open to moving and to going where the Lord sends me, hoping that life’s journey will take me to an area of the country where the Catholic Church is thriving.

Please pray for guidance and that the Lord will open doors to show me what I’m supposed to do and where I’m supposed to go next.

Know that you are in my prayers as well.

Prayer of Charles de Foucauld

Father,
I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you:
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures—
I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul;
I offer it to you with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands without reserve,
and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father.

Dear St. Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.

Employment Prayer

Mary our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, you once experienced hardships and difficulties in getting the necessities of life. Look kindly on me now as I face the same difficulties. Help me to find suitable employment. Through my work I want to meet my physical needs and to grow spiritually. Help me find a job that lets me provide for myself and for those who depend on me. I trust you, Immaculate Mother, to hear my prayers and intercede for me. I will share your goodness with others that they may know your power with God and give him honor and glory. Amen.
