Thank you Lord for providing the phoenix with this temporary job. If it is your will that it turn into something more, then we thank you for that and know that when you close one door, you always open another. I ask that you continue to guide her to where you want her to be according to your will, but pray for peace and calmness until then. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Dear St. Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.

Mary our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, you once experienced hardships and difficulties in getting the necessities of life. Look kindly on me now as I face the same difficulties. Help me to find suitable employment. Through my work I want to meet my physical needs and to grow spiritually. Help me find a job that lets me provide for myself and for those who depend on me. I trust you, Immaculate Mother, to hear my prayers and intercede for me. I will share your goodness with others that they may know your power with God and give him honor and glory. Amen.

UPDATE:

The Holy Spirit is definitely leading you all to pray for me, and I thank you IMMENSELY from my heart… in particular tbcrawford, Irishmom2, Traditional Ang, 244Rocket, goforgoal, reindeer, and Suzanne57.

Right after Thanksgiving I was struck by that horrendous severe flu that’s been going around. And of course, to keep my temporary job that may end sometime in January, there was no way I could even think of staying home from work and taking a sick day. So I went into the office … some days I was so sick that I would break out in a coughing fit and have to run to the ladies’ room and hope nobody would want to send me home from work … on one of the worst days where my throat was so raw I actually coughed up a little blood (actually two days I was that ill) was when a good number of you came here to pray for me. I didn’t even have the strength to thank you or ask for extra prayers or post any updates, please forgive me for that. In any case, the Lord provided by sending you to me when I was unable to ask for myself.

Then on another day when I was simply feeling tense, some of you again came and prayed … so your prayers are definitely helping and supportive in an awesome way!

Finally after two weeks of not being able to attend my weekly scheduled Hour of Adoration due to illness, I’m able to return to the chapel tonight, where I will remember to pray for you in thanksgiving for the kindness of your prayers.

Thank you for your continuing prayers, because I still don’t know what the New Year will bring when it comes to how long this temporary position will last.
