Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Prayer of Charles de Foucauld

Father,
I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you:
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures—
I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul;
I offer it to you with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands without reserve,
and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father.

Dear St. Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care. Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.

UPDATE:

Firstly, thank you all SO MUCH for continuing to pray for me in my absence! I truly believe the Holy Spirit sends you marvelous Prayer Warriors here when needed. :flowers:

Having been told days before Christmas that my contract job would likely end the first or second week of January, I decided to start a 54 Day Rosary Novena on New Year’s Day. I also made novenas to St. Michael the Archangel and St. Martin de Porres.

So how did the 54 Day Rosary Novena turn out? Basically, with each Rosary came another day of work. Throughout the entire 54 days! And then, on the 54th and final day, (February 23) my job ended. I am grateful for each of those days I was given. The project ended successfully and I gained a good reference.

Now it looks like I’ll be taking a part time position which may go full time but which is low paying (the new boss even admitted as much quite clearly). Such that I wonder exactly how I’ll go about making ends meet and am still looking for a different full-time position.

Your continued prayers would be most welcome and are very helpful.

Many thanks to bre, goforgoal, tbcrawford, poor_clare, Irishmom2, and everyone who has participated in this thread for all your prayerful support. You are also in my prayers, and I will remember you tonight when I visit the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.

:blessyou:

Good news!
We praise and thank God for the gifts He has given you, and for offering you the opportunity to use them.
I praise God for your prayerfulness and faithfulness

At times ,we do face very challenging situations. Life can sometimes be too hard.
I cried out to God. I asked for His mercy and asked Him to help me and give me strength.
Oftentimes, I also asked for Him to take that particular burden off my shoulders and give me a break. I also asked Him to give me something good and noble to do instead of letting me suffer continuously for a long time. Praying the rosary and asking Our Blessed Mother Mary to intercede on our behalf, to help us or send someone to help us, helps very much to calm us and strengthen our faith that the good Lord will not totally abandon us. And I also asked the archangels, angels, and Saints for help.

Visit the tabernacle to pray to Our Lord Jesus. When you receive communion, talk to Him from your heart.

:blessyou:
