Good morning. I was wondering if you knew what the Church’s stance is regarding alcohol. I don’t believe there is anything written regarding it so I think it is subject to everyone’s own opinion. I’ll contact my local Bishop and many others, shortly. I’ve said this in regards to being sober and vigilant. How can anyone hear God with a clouded mind? It would be wrong to enter The Holy Mass intoxicated… Why wouldn’t it be wrong in our lives away from God’s Holy Temple? Does our spiritual life end at church? So many people have lost their lives both physically and spiritually. “In moderation” they say… Should we accept God’s full love in word and spirit in moderation too? When we know not the day nor the hour? No, instead “be sober and vigilant”. Please, I know the Holy Spirit has instilled this in me and I want to share this with the world. Is this something that the Church is working on? This world loves its alcohol and it will defend it at any cost… If only it loved our God as much. “Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I may not cause my brother to sin.” For this reason, I will not drink alcohol. It has caused millions of my brothers and sisters to sin. It has caused me to sin. I wonder if not much is being said about this because people would get defensive and stand up for drinking? I intend to spread this message in hopes that it will bring people a little closer to God. Also, I thank God for all the work that you do for Him.
