Where Find Used Church Furnishings?

Do you know of any companies that warehouse and sell old church furnishings e.g. altars, stain glass windows, statues, from “renovated” churches?

I ask this because we will be building a new St. John’s Church here in Georgetown, KY. I’d love to be able to show my pastor sources for old, traditional type church furnishings. I recently visited newly-built St. Mary Church, Huntley, IL west of Chicago. The red brick church is three years old and has been furnished inside with “hand-me-downs” from other churches and convents. It is beautiful inside. And you should see the HUGE resurrection mosiac on the outside of St. Mary facing a major highway. It’s stunning.

I am a volunteer business manager for a Catholic church in central New Jersey. We would like to purchase some used Electronic Votive Light Stands. Can you provide me with some locations if any, that might have these items in their inventory of used church furnishings?

No offense, but save your money and get real candles and a fire extinguisher. Electric votive lights are the equivalent of watching Mass on TV. It would be almost better to have nothing at all rather than some 25¢-for-fifteen-minutes votive vending machine.

I agree with this. In my opinion, electric votive lights do not have the same meaning as real ones.
