Where is Ali's Quran

The Shia believe that Ali was the first to compile the Quran and that he had the complete Quran which contained the information about which verse was abrogated and which was abrogating, which verse was clear and which was ambiguous , why the verses were revealed, and by which order ecc. Yet the Shia say that the present Quran does not have what existed in Ali’s copy, and that the order of verses were changed by the sahaba, knowing that changing of something from its
proper place to another place, and changing the right position of sentence which gives it a meaning other than its true or intended meaning are considered tahrif or corruption.

My question is : where is Ali’s copy and why didn’t Allah preserve it but instead entrusted the complilation of the Quran to those who changed/corrupted the orders of the chapters which might result in changing of the meaning intended.
 
It was probably burn by Uthman when he collected all the copies of the qur’an and burnt all but the one he collated.

Holy Quran has no version. Caliph Ali (pbuh) did not have any different Quran.

Muslims memorised & recited Quran in daily prayers since the time of Muhammed (pbuh). If anyone alters any verse even any single letter , it will be identified immediately. Millions Qurane Hafizz are here all over the world.

God made Quran easy to remember / memorise & it is one of reasons that Quran is uncorrupted . Alhamdulillah …praise be to God only.

  1. There were 7 versions of the qur’an. Uthman collected them and burnt 6.
  2. Arabic was not a written language at the time of mohammed. The earliest copies, dated a couple of hundred years after mohammed, are in kufic script. There is no vowelling, ie dots, in kufic. These were added much later. These dots make all the difference in arabic.
  3. There are references to chapters in the qur’an in the 8th Century, ie The Camel, which do not exist in the current qur’an.
  4. The companion had a short life span - they were killed as they were raiding, slaughtering and enslaving people, or they killed each other (just like today, that seems incorruptible 😛 )
That’s just 3 known corruptions in your incorruptible qur’an.

** inJesus you are starting a myth while forgetting your own bible of Greek mythology of gods and godesses.

chrisse is saying that there was no Arabic writing. That is not true. There were more than one scribes who used to write the actual words of God.

Your falsehood is apparant if you look at the topic about the Ali’s Quran. that it was burnt. There was a written Quran so that it was burnt. You are pushing on both sides that there was no writing and also that Ali had a written Quran.

What you are implying is all wrong. Our Quran is not like your bibleNT**.

From my traditions. there are not always correct traditions. Our bible is the Hadith which is not always correct. You have nothing from the Quran that is why youa re always running to our bible i.e. the Hadith.

I have brought this up several times in discussions with Muslims. Obviously his decree of burning all copies of the Qu’ran save his preferred choice made them furious enough to kill Uthman and throw his lifeless body onto a pile of dung by his own fellow Muslims.

**There were not as many Quran as there were bibles (gospels) which were burnt at the council of Nicene in year 325 A.D. Just imagine how many bibles must have been written in 300 years and they were disallowed as being heretical and burnt at the council of Nicene. Will you please expalin to all here why so many bibles (gospels) were considered apocryphal.??? We have to remind you of your early history too??

That was the turning point (derailment) of the true teachings of Jesus.

In the cas eof Uthman, there was no difference in the Quran. there was difference of dialect or accent only. Otherwis ethe quran was being recited in far and wide territory and it was same One Quran.**

You’re comparing apples with oranges. In the case of the gnostic bibles, they were generally accepted as heretical by several church leaders. It was not a unilateral decision but a decision made by a holy council. In Uthman’s case, he was solely responsible for making his own decision, sought no advice from others and that’s what got him into dung literally.

Well said. If the poster wants to know about Shi’a legends and prejudices, maybe he should go to a Shi’a forum.

There is only one Qur’an, it has been preserved in the hearts of the Muslims. I’m sure the poster who lives in Iraq can find one without going too far. Even the Shi’a read from the exact same Qur’an.

I may reply to you that Ali’s Quran is gone the same way as the gospel of Barnabas and gospel of Mary Magd had disappeared long ago. How is that?**

No, not both sides. There was no written Arabic language at Mohammed’s time. This doesn’t mean that there weren’t companions of mohammed writing what they heard from mohammed down in the written language they knew. It was probably written in the other written languages of the day, more than one, but the language was not in Arabic. And definitely not in Arabic as it is known today. There was also an oral tradition. Uthman DID burn all copies he could gather except one.
