Where is celebrating Christmas in the Bible?

Hi!

I have the wonderful opportunity of witnessing the Catholic faith to a young gentleman of another denomination. This particular denomination does not celebrate Christmas, because it is “un-Biblical.” Is there Scripture supporting the celebration of Christmas? Is it in the Catholic Traditions? (Scripture is clear about both Scripture and Tradition being necessary).

Hi Heather,

What does your friend think that the shepherds and wise man were doing? What they were doing is what we do in celebrating the Incarnation of our Savior, Jesus Christ. There is nothing in the Bible that says that what they were doing was inappropriate or wrong.
