Since God is all loving and God is everywhere, where could hell possibly exist?
As of right now. But it will eventually will be because the people in hell will have bodies and there has to be a place for bodies.Hell is not a place but a state of mind…
Asking out of curiosity and without any kind of motive, why do you describe yourself as a “questioning catholic” ?Mabe God loves those in Hell (both living and dead) since Hell is separation from God
Mabe GOd even loves Satan
If you’re asking out of curiosity, you obviously have a motive and that is to obtain some kind of knowledge.Asking out of curiosity and without any kind of motive, why do you describe yourself as a “questioning catholic” ?
I just meant I’m not going to be an annoying about it and try to convince you of anything. You also didn’t answer the question… ?If you’re asking out of curiosity, you obviously have a motive and that is to obtain some kind of knowledge.
It is impossible to act without a motive.
I know. I was just trying to be funny.I just meant I’m not going to be an annoying about it and try to convince you of anything. You also didn’t answer the question… ?
Haha… my bad. You are not the person I asked the question to! I removed my other reply as it made no sense…I know. I was just trying to be funny.
By the way, what do you mean “You also didn’t answer the question?” Was there a question I was supposed to answer?
If you were talking about that of the OP, I would answer that hell is not a place right now, but will be. The pains of hell, I have read somewhere is the feeling that the damned feel about God’s love. The fire of God’s love is painful to them because they abhor it.
That’s okay.Haha… my bad. You are not the person I asked the question to! I removed my other reply as it made no sense…![]()
Since God is Spirit heaven cannot be a place. It does not make sense to believe heaven is not a place but hell is! The spiritual world is not a physical world. After death everyone will share in the Resurrection of Jesus and have a resurrected body which is no longer in space or time. The bodies of the blessed are glorified whereas the bodies of the damned are not.As of right now. But it will eventually will be because the people in hell will have bodies and there has to be a place for bodies.
I dont mind you asking. I guess I dont know what else to call myself. I was baptized Catholic, as I found out in early adulthood, but adopted into a family that did not go to any church. Then I started going to different churches in my early twenties…and earlier this year I started going to a Catholic church, as I was taking a home care client there, and discovered I really liked going…I felt my love and faith in Jesus grow and now I continue to go daily, however, I still go the church I was going to before that - a Protestant church…I am considering becoming a member of the Catholic church…so thats why I say ‘questioning’Asking out of curiosity and without any kind of motive, why do you describe yourself as a “questioning catholic” ?
I was watching Ghost Hunter about the Czech Castle name Castle Houska which is believed to be the gates of hell. It is rumor Nazi did experiment there with Soldiers and looking for portals from another dimensions. I don’t know if there is any truth to this though.Since God is all loving and God is everywhere, where could hell possibly exist?
But the glorified will not see the damned, therefore heaven must be a place.Since God is Spirit heaven cannot be a place. It does not make sense to believe heaven is not a place but hell is! Jesus used parables and images to convey spiritual truths because ordinary people are not philosophers or theologians. When he referred to His Father’s house He obviously did not mean a house literally. It is a symbol for heaven, the Kingdom of God. Before God created the physical universe space and time did not exist. So heaven, in my opinion, is not a place but a spiritual realm.]Furthermore, Jesus has assured us that heaven is a place. Therefore hell will be so also.
John 14:2&3
“In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. **If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? **And if I go and prepare a **place **for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.”
Maybe God is not everywhere, but instead He is every-aware and every-active. Perhaps that’s what omnipresence means–to be completely aware of what is happening at every moment in every place, and to be powerfully effecting what is happening at every moment in every place. I don’t see how it could mean to be locationally present at every moment in every place, for then God would be locationally present in Hell. But by definition Hell is, in part, to be eternally separated from God.Since God is all loving and God is everywhere, where could hell possibly exist?
Whatever we both think is only speculation. Neither of us actually know (completely) what we’re talking about. It’s funny. But the conversation is not useless. Talks about heaven turn our minds there.Jesus used parables and images to convey spiritual truths because ordinary people are not philosophers or theologians. Whatever the truth about heaven and hell we both believe that they exist and that justice is not a human invention but an inescapable reality. That is why people feel so strongly when they are treated unfairly and are prepared to die fighting for justice rather than live as victims of injustice…
