Where is the third day?

I am a Catholic and have been exploring my faith lately. In our creed are the words “and on the third day he rose again from the dead” but if I am correct our belief is that Jesus died on Good Friday and rose on Easter Sunday. Friday to Saturday is one day and Saturday to Sunday is the second day. Where is the third day?

The Creed doesn’t say that He rose in 72 hours. It says “on the third day,” It was. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the third day.
Simple enough.
