When the Vatican issues certain instructions on an earthy matter, like for example the forbidden of abortion, where is the list that contains all of forbidden items on the Vatican site?

ALL the Church teachings are summarised in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
This is available free online:

scborromeo.org/ccc.htm

Thank you, I’m aware of the CCC, however, I was looking for recent forbidden things which was issued in the last 5 years only, how to get that?
What do you mean by forbidden things Sam? I’m not sure what you are looking for.

I remember hearing that the Vatican from time to time issue some guidance for Christians, for example I would like to know which year exactly the Vatican declared abortion as a sin.

And tomorrow if the Vatican comes and say doing this or that is a sin, where should I look at other than a press release?

With regard to abortion, the Catholic Church has always called it an intrinsic evil.

Just as we have always opposed artificial birth control. All Christians did until about 1930 in fact.

You really would benefit greatly from a copy of the Catechism to study. The online ones are great for reference and research, but a hardcopy is best for study. 👍

It will be nice if I know where you got the year “1930” from :), if Vatican site keeps all those things with date then it would be better so other religions can research Christianity in much clearer way.

My friend,

Are you looking for a list of actions that will result in excommunication?
Remember, for a sin to be grave, it must fall within the category of sins that are grave by instinct (e.g., even a child can know that killing is wrong) or you must be aware that it is wrong (by education). If not, the following may be of interest to you.

It seems you are trying to better understand the Church and the teachings of Christianity.
Things don’t become forbidden, as much as they are and have always been forbidden so to write a list of all that is forbidden would take a long time!

Instead of a list, consider this: When FBI experts in the USA learn how to see the difference between FAKE money vs. REAL money, they don’t study the fake money. They study the real money until they know all its details so well that the fake money will not fool them. In the same way, rather than look for a “forbidden” list or a list of sins, it would be better to educate yourself on the “Godly” list; how to live as Christ lived. That is, pray often and intensely, live through God, love your neighbors. Help yourself by reading writings from the Doctors and leaders of the Church, the Bible (along with the Catechism), and more.
To do so will prove far more valuable than any list you could ever find, as lists are always limited and God’s love for us is forever.👍

Good luck on finding what you seek; God will lead you!

There is no book as such written once for all. There is a process - the Bible Old and New Testa ments, the saints, Fathers of the Church ( holy bishops and scholars), then scientists, historians and archeologists whose combined studies and reflections develop the Truth…
Birth control was allowed by the Anglican Church in 1930 and the floodgates opened to the mess we have today. That was predicted in Humanae Vitae ( Of Human Life) in 1968. The writings of the recent Popes and as noted the CCC all contain the key elements but no one “book” has it all in complete detail. The CCC is footnoted and is itself a summary of a vast process and teachings

Try googling 1930 and birth control.

Abortion has always been forbidden.
Remember the 5th Commandment: you shall not kill.

And from the Didache (written around 70AD to 100AD), can be construed as an early catechism:

Chapter 2. The Second Commandment: Grave Sin Forbidden. And the second commandment of the Teaching; You shall not commit murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not commit pederasty, you shall not commit fornication, you shall not steal, you shall not practice magic, you shall not practice witchcraft,** you shall not murder a child by abortion** nor kill that which is born. You shall not covet the things of your neighbor, you shall not swear, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not speak evil, you shall bear no grudge. You shall not be double-minded nor double-tongued, for to be double-tongued is a snare of death. Your speech shall not be false, nor empty, but fulfilled by deed. You shall not be covetous, nor rapacious, nor a hypocrite, nor evil disposed, nor haughty. You shall not take evil counsel against your neighbor. You shall not hate any man; but some you shall reprove, and concerning some you shall pray, and some you shall love more than your own life.
