Where should I hang a crucifix?

I received a beautiful crucifix in my RCIA group. I am not sure of the appropriate place to hang in my home. Where should it be visible?
 
Wherever you like. One possibility might be to hang it in your bedroom in plain view from your bed so that you might be able to contemplate it whenever you are ill and offer up your sufferings in union with Christ.
