Hello friends, my name is Michelle. I’m a fairly new convert to the Catholic church (converted May 2015) and I really enjoy making rosaries. If you remember from my previous posts, I wrote about my path about being disabled and my mother seeking a path that is perhaps not right in the eyes to the Lord. My mom has told me that she will never see a person like it again, and my father has sternly devoted all of our family members and my family relatives to the Virgin Mary. As a result, I started a rosary making ministry and a shop in South Korea and in Etsy.

The reason why I am writing this is- I make rosaries with thread for others to easily pray with, and with round gemstone beads or glass beads. However, I always wanted to make mission rosaries with the same technique I learned and send it to the missions abroad. I was talking to a missionary in Canada that I know about this and we agreed that it was a great idea. However, we didn’t know where to send it to. So we’re looking for your help.

Do you know an organization or a mission field that I can send mission rosaries to? I want to spread the devotion to Our Lady to as many people as possible. Because rosary is so beautiful and it is a sacramental of peace- and I obtained so much peace from it.

Your help would be so much appreciated! Thank you all.

I started the same way (rosary praying convert), and was privileged to live near this rosary making organization:

If you contact them directly, they can forward a list of missions asking for rosaries. I used to be on their mailing list, and remember their saying to put “no commercial value” on the package. The missionary would have to pay a heavy Duty if that wasn’t done.

Your Diocese will know where there are mission parishes near you.

Hello!
I am actually unable to attend mass due to seizures- I am disabled, therefore I don’t know if it will be okay for me to ask the Diocese for help. They didn’t help me last time- which really let me down. 😦

Thank you sister. I know this organization but really glad to hear about the “commercial value” aspect! The postage in South Korea is extremely expensive to send abroad. You saved my life. Gloria in exelsis Deo!

My group sends them to those that ask through olrm.org. We also support local adoration chapels. This may be an option for you as well. Inquire through the parish office.

It is extremely odd that the Diocese will not tell you which poor parishes need rosaries.

I am not able to attend mass due to disabilities- and that is why I communicate with my Canadian community that I used to have in Calgary, Alberta. Last time I called them, they said to me: “Are you even from here? We don’t do stuff like that.” And hung up on me.
I think it’s a cultural difference and my disabilities don’t help me on this at all.
