Where to find a Saint's Feast day

I’m actually searching for any information on St Montana.
I know there are a number of St Montanus’ around but I remember reading years ago about St Montana. She is my patron so I would love to know a bit more about her but not sure where else I can look.
Any help would be awesome 🙂

This is supposed to be the most comprehensive listing of saints and blesseds online:

However, they don’t list St Bobo–a saint I am becoming increasingly devoted to. So, I’m not sure how comprehensive the list actually is.

I have never heard of St Montana, which means nothing.

The way I found St Bobo was, I looked on wikipedia for a list of all French Saints and there is one. It is massive, to say the least.

You might try the same tactic. If you know what country St Motana is from, you might try searching for St Montana under the lists of canonized saints from that particular country.

I was having a similar problem finding Saints from merry ole’ England (Cornish Saints in particular). When I asked a local Catholic priest for some help in finding these Saints he just “brushed me off” saying that he didn’t know of any. Like he thinks there was nothing happening prior to the Reformation. :confused:

I have to vent here…

Perhaps I should start a thread. I’m really, really curious what the average parish priest does with his day. I’m serious. The majority I have encountered over the years just don’t care. As long as the bills are getting paid and the bishop isn’t breathing down their necks, they just do not seem to have an interest in the concerns of their flock.

Just a small example, a small one, I could give big ones, but a small one…
Yesterday, I checked a parish website to see if Mass was being offered, as usual at 6PM. I checked because it was Labor Day and sometimes the schedule changes for public holidays. Yeah, I don’t know why either, but anyway… There was no information.

So, I called the parish office-no answer. Then I rang the listed numbers for each individual priest. I got one on the last try and asked if Mass was offered at 6. “Yes,” he said and was about to hang up and I said, “Are you sure? It is Labor Day, could you double check?” And he did, he came back and assured me Mass was most definitely on at 6PM.

I showed up. The church was locked. A priest happened to walk by and said, “Oh, you here for Mass?” I said that I was and he just said, “We had it at 1PM today. Guess you’ll have to make a spiritual communion tonight.” And that was that.

How long would it have taken to put a one-liner on the parish website to inform people:

Labor Day Mass will be at 1PM. There will be no 6PM Mass.???

Sigh…

haha HCC I have those times too…sometimes it’s good just to vent! Get’s it out of your system 😉 Sometimes I do wonder…I wish priests would really take on the fatherly role of caring for all his children. The priests that I know who do have the best realationship with all their parish and are so much happier. You can really see the true beauty of the priesthood shining through!
