I am interested in Catholic life pre-Vatican II, particularly the 1930s through 1950s. Once, by chance at an antique store, I came across a copy of an old parish newsletter from the 1940s and found it to be very interesting.

Any idea where I could find more old bulletins or other parish publications from this time period?

Does your diocese have archives? Maybe check that. Of, perhaps town hall?

I don’t really know, but I think it would be so cool to see what was written back then. I love looking at things from the past.

As the previous post says ask your church and/or diocese if you can look in the archives. You may find them patchy as people don’t always remember that they are history in the making.

The OP has reminded me to do a bulletin search in my house as I should have at least 4 years worth scattered about waiting to be collated and handed in to the archives (when they recover from a recent move).
